Perfume layering: how to create your own fragrance. 

True uniqueness does not allow for static definitions. Olfactory identity is a complex system,

a dynamic accord that changes with intention, context, and inner state. 

Asking a single Extrait to express the totality of ourselves—with its nuances of strength, quietude, boldness, and introspection—means limiting its narrative potential.

It is from this awareness that my approach to Layering was born.

As a Fragrance Designer, I was among the first in Italy to focus on the

methodical application of Layering for niche perfumery. 

This method is not just a layering technique, but a true characterization tool

that allows us to build a personal Olfactory Wardrobe.

The Olfactory wardrobe: redefining your olfactory story. 

The concept of the Olfactory Wardrobe comes from the world of fashion and tailoring, but with a substantial difference: it’s not about wearing different fragrance suited for specific social occasions, it’s about choosing the fragrance that exemplifies your mood and the intention of the moment.

Alignment. The right perfume is not one that covers your natural scent, but the one that amplifies your presence and helps you focus your inner energy. 

Flexibility. Being static is a cliché. True self-mastery is expressed in the ability to elegantly shift from the determination of a woody accord to the calm of an amber note.

Layering is the methodological heart of the Olfactory Wardrobe. But be careful:

it is not the random mixing of two perfumes. It is an intentional project based on an understanding of the structure of essences.

My vision of Layering is based on two pillars: 

1. Structure. The first fragrance acts as a solid base that fuses with the skin to prolong its lasting power and uniqueness.
2. Intention. The other fragrance acts as modulator, adding the desired emotion or intensity for that specific moment.

This guarantees not only a unique and unrepeatable trail, but also a superior performance as the maximum concentration of the Extraits multiplies on the skin.
